Membership in the Phylaxis Society is $35.00 per year for those using domestic (US) mail. There are also special offerings, such as our four-year membership. New members must submit their Masonic affiliation before they are allowed to sign up for regular membership. If you do not qualify for regular membership as listed below, you are allowed to join as a subscriber. New members and subscribers can also use the postal system to submit a written Membership Application. Existing members can pay annual dues on the web site and can submit a change of address online as well. If you find our magazine of interest, you may purchase back issues.
Any Regular Master Mason may become a member of the Phylaxis Society and thus may participate in all the Society’s activities. He must be a member in good standing of a regularly constituted Masonic Lodge.
Your Masonic titles and honors have no bearing whatsoever on the Society. The only titles that will be recognized by the Society are the following initials places after the individual member's name. They are M.P.S. (Member of the Phylaxis Society) and F.P.S. (Fellow of the Phylaxis Society). Affiliation with the Society is classified as follows:
1. Regular Member: Regular Master Mason in good standing.
2. Fellow's: Regular members and subscribers who have been honored by the Society for their outstanding service to the Society and to Prince Hall Masonry and who have done original research. The PHYLAXIS Society has numbered among its Fellows some of the most outstanding students and thinkers within Freemasonry.
3. Subscribers: Persons or organizations who are otherwise ineligible to become members, but who desire to receive the material published by the Society.
In a nutshell, here are the benefits of Membership in the Society:
1. Receipt of all material published by the Society, including the PHYLAXIS magazine (there will be no advertising allowed).
2. The privilege of participating in the work of the Society.
3. An opportunity to correspond and exchange ideas and material with Masonic students throughout the world.
4. An opportunity to publish the results of your personal Masonic research and study.
5. An opportunity to find answers to your questions.
6. Opportunity to become one of a rare group of 15 Actual Fellows.
