The annual convention of the Phyllis Chapter is held in conjunction with the convention of the Phylaxis Society. The convention is historically scheduled on the weekend nearest to March 6th, the anniversary of the initiation of Prince Hall and fourteen other Black men to become the first Black Freemasons in this country.
All members of the Phyllis Chapter are welcome to attend the annual convention. The registration fee is reasonable and we provide you with three meals and various activities for the cost of admission. This section of the web site gives you a taste of the spirit of the convention, which features two days of workshops appealing to the interests of members of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The convention moves from state to state at the invitation of the Grand Master, the Grand Worthy Matron, and the local chapters and auxilliaries of the Phylaxis Society and the Phyllis Chapter.
